I started my summer off right by taking a trip up to Long Island, NY to shoot the latest collection for Siren. Angelique Mango and her daughter, Katherine Pfingsten are the creative designers behind this funky-chic resort label you can find in downtown Annapolis at Way off the Beaten Path. I absolutely LOVE these unique prints that Katherine created for this collection. Each piece is block printed by hand with organic cotton and vegetable dye. I'm so happy to have surprised my grandma on her 90th birthday down in Florida this past week. This is one of my favorite photos of her that I took on the beach by the house I grew up. Happy 90th birthday Lola Helen!

Meet Jennifer: Jennifer Ellision spent a great deal of her childhood staying up past her bedtime with a book and a flashlight. When she couldn’t find the stories she wanted to read, she started writing them. She loves words, has a soft spot for fanfiction, and is a master of the fangirl flail. She lives in South Florida with her family, where she lives in fear of temperatures below 60 Fahrenheit. She’s also one of the bloggers behind the book blog, The Bevy Bibliotheque.

Her debut Young Adult epic fantasy, Threats of Sky and Sea, will be available May 20, 2014.

About Threats of Sky and Sea:
